How to Become a Frugalista: You Get What You Give

I am going to be writing a series on "How to Become a Frugalista". This series will cover things like where to find coupons, coupon lingo, how to shop at certain stores, and other various programs and how to best use them to your advantage.

Once you are done with this "program" you can expect to be able to NEVER PAY RETAIL FOR GROCERIES OR HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES AGAIN!!! Better yet, you can expect to get many things FREE on a regular basis! I haven't spent a single penny on toothpaste, shampoo, soap, cold medicine, or deoderant in at least 4 years!!!

The first and I feel most important lesson to becoming a Frugalista is "You Get What You Give"

This lesson honestly doesn't only apply to coupling but to every area of life and it's one of the "rules that I live by" along with a few other old favorites (do onto others... if you don't have anything nice to say... etc..)

If you have never couponed before this whole new world of couponing can be a little intimidating. I hope to be able to ease your apprehensions by gently introducing you to this new and exciting part of your world.

If you are not already couponing I encourage you to at least give it a try. Even just a little bit of effort can save your family hundreds. Like anything else in life the more you put into couponing the more you will get out of it. However, even with just an hour or two a week you can reap amazing benefits!

"You get what you give away." I love that. I'm looking forward to your series.
